What Is the Grapefruit Effect?
Refreshing and delicious grapefruit is rich in phytonutrients such as vitamin A, beta-carotene, and lycopene. It is revered as fruit of "paradise" for its unique health-promoting as well as disease-healing properties,especially among health-conscious, fitness freaks.
Grapefruit doesn't only contain vitamin C which is commonly known to be protective against cold or flu. It is not just one nutrient that helps prevent a certain disease, but rather the combination of several ingredients in it that does the trick. This is the kind of nutritional power that we can find only in the way God makes our natural food.
This juicy fruit contains citric acid, natural sugars, essential oils like limonene, pinene and citral. It has high amounts of vitamin C, and smaller amounts of vitamin A, B complex, E and K.
In the mineral department, larger amounts of calcium, folic acid, phosphorus, and potassium are found. The nutritive phytonutrients of this voluptuous fruit¾liminoids, flavonoids, lycopene and glucarates¾help fight cancer and various diseases.
Caution
Grapefruit contains high levels of flavonoid naringin that will reject synthetic man-made drugs. This is beneficial for our human cells because it helps to recognize alien compounds which should not be in our body, therefore, are treated as toxins.
The presence of grapefruits may halt the metabolism of these drugs, leaving the drugs in your body thus creating the risk of toxic poisoning. Doctors may tell you that grapefruit is the cause of the toxicity, but in fact, it is really the drugs that is causing the toxicity.
If you are not under medication, grapefruit juice can do a world of good. However, despite all its goodness, always remember to take only in moderation. Excessive consumption of any citrus juices can leach calcium from the body system, causing decay of the bones and teeth.

Green Smoothie Blender Recipe

This simple Green Smoothie is a great way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet. It is delicious and nutritious!
Ingredients:
1 large orange
1/2 of a large banana, cut into chunks
2 cups spinach or 1 kail
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 cup ice
Place all of the fruits and juice in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
Note- We use our Power mill Blender & BG Blender which are a very powerful machine. Make sure you use a powerful blender that will puree the orange, spinach, ice, etc. Make sure you take the smoothie out of the freezer about 30 minutes before you want to drink it.

'Haein' in 'Haein-sa' comes from 'Haein samadhi' of the Avatamsaka Sutra which means that reason of everything is revealed in agony-less mind just like figures of whole things appeared on the quiet sea. And 'Haein' points out the world of 'as it is', the world seen by true, wise eyes, the world of objective thoughts, and the world of eternal Truth.
Haein-sa was founded by Suneung Sunim and Ijeong Sunim under the full support of the Silla royal family in the 3rd year of King Aejang (802 AD), the 40th king of the Silla Dynasty to elucidate philosophy and thought of the Avatamsaka School. In 930 ca, early period of Koryeo, Master Heuirang remolded Haein-sa under support of King Taejo Wanggeon and raised BuddhaDharma highly. In 1488 AD, Hakjo Sunim rebuilt Haein-sa in large scale under support of Queen Insu and Queen Inhye. After that, rebuilding and destroying by fire were repeated, and the Hall of Great Tranquility that is the center building and other buildings at present were built in 1818 AD.
Four dynasties of Silla, Later Three Kingdoms, Koryeo, and Joseon rising and
disappearing, Haein-sa has experienced national disasters such as Japanese
invasion in 1592, colonization by Japan in early 20 century, and the 6.25 Civil
War for a long time.
However, Haein-sa has been standing firmly and keeping
it's purity through harsh history.
Haein-sa, the First Dharma Jewel Monastery, is the foundation temple of
Avatamsaka School of Korea and the temple that the Tripitaka Koreana is
enshrined. The Tripitaka Koreana is integration of Korean people's faith.
Haein-sa is the spiritual shelter of Koreans, the lantern of wisdom brightening
this land,
and a sacred place of Korean Buddhism.
